Mt. Baker Traditional Remodel
Situated on a corner street near Mt. Baker Park in the stately Seattle neighborhood of Mt. Baker, this solid Georgian Colonial sat neglected for many years. Built in the Roaring 20’s (that’s 1920’s) it was once an icon up on the hill overlooking the park. But years of neglect turned this once glorious beauty into an eyesore. Sunbreak Homes acquired the property in 2017 and began a total gut renovation on it. The house was stripped down to the studs and build brand new. All new plumbing, electrical and HVAC was installed. The unfinished basement and attic were both converted into fabulous living spaces with en-suite bathroom in the attic and a media room in the basement. Period detail was included to keep the original focus of the house in tact, from elaborate crown moulding to the wainscotting in the entry and master bath to the box beam ceilings in the living room. Both fireplaces were torn down and rebuilt using matching bricks from the original design. A luxurious 5 piece master bath suite including imported italian marble tile for the walk-in shower was meticulously installed. A 3 car garage with sunny deck was added to the back and a wrap-around porch was added to the front. In short, no stone was left unturned to bring this gem back to it’s original glory.
