Dormer-to-Deck
Conversion
A family in Capitol Hill was looking to convert an attic dormer into a walk-out deck in order to capture the amazing views of the downtown Seattle skyline, Space Needle and Puget Sound. In order to accomplish this ambitious goal, our architect created plans for a deck with drainage sloped toward the middle of the deck. This project was one where attention to detail was paramount.
The deck was finished off with sloping plywood, and many layers of waterproofing, along with cedar shingles for siding and a beautiful white cased railing and balusters.
The result is an outdoor space that is to be cherished for years to come.
